THE PHILIPPINES SHOWCASES ITS DIVING PRODUCTS AT THE DEMA SHOW 2011 IN ORLANDO, FLORIDA

 -Experience Diving, Experience the Philippines at Booth 1057&1157-

The Philippines will once again showcase a totally different world of underwater experience at the annual Dive Equipment and Marketing Association (DEMA) Show to be held at the Orange County Convention Center on November 2-5, 2011 in Orlando, Florida. The 4-day international trade-only event draws thousands of national and international participants, comprising of dive tour operators, dive resorts, media people, dive professionals, travel and tourism government offices, and suppliers of water sports and other travel related industries.

As in previous years, many tour arrangers and dive enthusiasts in North America and other parts of the world are expected to come to the Philippine Dive Pavilion and meet with Philippine-based dive operators and resorts managers, to discuss partnerships in developing and selling Philippine dive tour programs.  Since its strong participation in the show in the last three years, the Philippines has recorded a significant rise in the number of dive tour offerings and groups going to popular destinations like Dumaguete, Anilao, Puerto Galera, Cebu, Bohol and Palawan.  The country is known to offer a variety of dive experiences and has become the most sought-after dive destination in Asia today.

Composed of 7,100 islands, the Philippines is located in the coral triangle, an area that hosts the most diverse marine life in the world.  It is a paradise for divers as it has outstanding dive sites, highly experienced dive masters to service dive groups, and offers the best value-for-money.  Divers can expect unique underwater experiences as the country has countless of miles of coral reefs, teeming with colorful marine life, big and small animals, found in awesome walls and reefs.  Dive opportunities for all skill levels and interests are available year-round.  Marine scientists have found the Verde Island Passage in Batangas to host an incredible collection of species, and declared it as the center of the center of marine biodiversity in the world.  No wonder, the Philippines has been one of the much talked dive destinations these days!

The Philippine delegation, which is composed of owners and managers of dive resorts, tour operators, live-aboard fleets, and other dive-oriented establishments, is eager to actively participate at this year’s DEMA and promote their respective establishments and the country as a dive destination in general. US-based dive companies that currently market and sell dive trips to the Philippines will likewise be at the Philippine Dive Pavilion to meet dive suppliers at Booth 1057 & 1157.

Aside from networking opportunities and meetings with members of Philippine delegates, show-goers will also have the chance to witness presentations and seminars on Philippine diving to be conducted by well-known diving experts throughout the duration of the DEMA Dive Show.
